At this stage we are playing.

Well, the final round has been played and the positions in the semis are decided. Click here to see the competition table after Round 10.

Click here for the Semi Final draw.
I was going to play all games in the one timeslot but there were problems with a couple of teams being unable to make one time or another. As such, I’ve relented and gone to 2 timeslots.
For the Grand Finals, I plan to play them all in one timeslot at 7:30pm if I can accommodate it with sufficient umpires. Can you ensure your players can make this timeslot if you are successful in getting there.
Best of luck to all teams for the next 2 weeks.
Are you driven, energetic and dynamic?
Do you have good communication skills?
Are you passionate about developing skilled Netball players?

I have been informed that Netball NSW also have MINIMUM (10 participants) participants for Development and Foundation courses. Unfortunately in all their correspondence, it only ever mentions MAXIMUM numbers (15 participants).
Due to this new 'information' coming to hand I have no choice but to announce that this SUNDAYS course has had to be cancelled as I only have 7 participants registered.
I will keep your names on a register, and when more participants can be found, I will submit for the course to be re-run. I do apologise for this, however I only ever find out this type of important information when I am submitting my information for confirmation.
If any new parties are interested in attending this course, please forward your interest to Kim Appleby at coaches@stgeorgenetball.com.au Additional numbers will ensure this course goes ahead.

Congratulations to the following umpires who have obtained their National C Badges so far this season:
Sarah Hay
Sonya Marsters
Laura Hay
Liza Moodie
Tracie Coombes
Well done on this acheivement and best of luck in your umpiring careers.
The Umpires Committee hope to develop more umpires to obtain their National Badge to umpire in our domestic competition and/or represent St. George in the wider netball community.
Please click here for Day 12 Umpire Allocations: 19.07.2008
Please note that 3pm allocations are no longer allocated under the Umpires Proposal.
This is due to numerous umpires becoming unavailable to umpire at this time, thus making allocations at this timeslot increasingly difficult.
Allocations have been returned to the Club Convenors for allocations. Allocations will be according to the number of teams each club has playing at this time.
No substitute or reserve umpires will be allocated and clubs will be responsible for all payments of umpires at this time.
The Section 1 Theory Exam will be held on Monday 14th June at the St. George courts from 6pm - 8pm.
This exam is a good opportunity for players, coaches and umpires to test their knowledge of the new rules.
This exam does fall during the school holiday period, where there are no games before this exam. However, as this exam is set by Netball Australia, the date cannot be changed.
All parties are strongly encouraged to attend.
Please confirm your attendance with Lara Mina umpires@stgeorgenetball.com.au

PENSHURST WEST YOUTH CLUB INC
FOUNDED 1965
PO BOX 18, MORTDALE, 2223
20 March 2008
My name is Megan White and I am the new Secretary for the Penshurst West Netball Club and have been involved with the club as a parent since January 2007, having my daughter start in the under 12s last year. Kerrie Van Steen is the Treasurer and has been involved with the club for many years as a player, coach and the treasurer.
Firstly, let me say thankyou for those who have stayed with Penshurst West Youth Club If this is your first year then welcome.
In the next few weeks the junior teams will be contacted by their coach with the days they will be required to train and the time that play will commence on the 29th March 2008.
To help make the end of year presentations successful, Kerrie and I plan to use the facilities at the Penshurst RSL more this year. The RSL has been very generous with their sponsorship which should help us immensely. Each senior member and one parent from each junior member will have one years membership paid for them by the Netball Club. To assist us with this I ask that you fill out the membership form and return the form to your coach on the 5 April 2008.
The first event that I ask for your support is the ANZAC Day March that Penshurst RSL conducts. This year it is scheduled for the 20th April 2008. It generally starts around 11am and takes approximately one hour. I ask for your support by allowing your daughter to march in the parade through Penshurst and for the senior girls that you take the time to march and remember the sacrifices that were made. I will have more information as the time draws closer.
Our main social event that we plan to have is a Trivia night to be held in the auditorium at the RSL in the middle of the season. Money raised will go towards each girl receiving a small participation medal /trophy at Presentation Afternoon.
I would like to update the girl’s uniform sometime in the next year and would be interested to hear your suggestions, please let me know.
This is the first of many letters that you should receive from Kerrie and I, during the netball season for 2008. I will endeavour to send out a newsletter each month, letting you know how the teams and club are faring. Lastly, please let me say I am looking forward to this year and hope it will be a successful year for the club and each team.
I hope to meet most of you through out the season. Please do not hesitate to contact me on the number below or my mobile; 0407 250 196 or email megan.white@defence.gov.au if there is a problem that I may be able to help you with.
Regards
Megan White
Secretary
Penshurst West Youth Netball Club
A Message from the President!
A BIG thanks to all who did Control Room duty this season. To all our Coaches and Umpires, Oatley Netball would not be able to function without you! I appreciate the time and effort that you give to our Club and thank you also to Cathy Mercer, Cathie Bolton and Robyn Ellis for your help.
Don’t forget no play on 5 and 12 July 2008 but we play on 19 July 2008 - now if there are any forfeits with regards to the holidays, please advise Cathy or myself as soon as possible so all officials and teams can be notified.
Sports Rage
Sports rage is on the increase at Rockdale Courts. Oatley parents and friends are encouraged not to be drawn into these nasty events.
Umpire News
* Tardiness will not be tolerated. Umpires to arrive at least 15min before their allocated game starts.
* Correct uniform is to be worn or fines will be issued.
* No track pants unless notified by St George.
* No earrings or any other body piercings are allowed to be worn by players taking the Court. It is against the rules!

A Roster will be given to all Coaches and Managers ASAP to keep the running of the BBQ and Cake Stall running smoothly. Happy cooking everyone!!

I hope to meet most of you through out the season. Please do not hesitate to contact me on the number below or my mobile;
0407 250 196 or email megan.white@defence.gov.au if there is a problem that I may be able to help you with.

Hello Everyone
Week 6 has just finished and some teams have had some really good wins, others not faring so well.
We have a few sleep ins in the next few months. The 7th June, 5th and 12th July 2008 are no play days due to the State Age Championships and school holidays. Day 13, 26th July, is our turn to work in the Control Room. I am after parents that can help out for half an hour between 8.30am and 1.30pm.Thanks to those parents who gave me a hand at short notice last week.
I would like to reiterate that the club does not condone swearing or physical violence. If there is any trouble on the court, someone is to go immediately to the control box and gain assistance from the executive committee. The umpires cannot leave the court until someone from the committee arrives.
We are planning a Trivia night sometime at the end of June. The money will go towards the purchasing of a new uniform for the 2009 season. We are looking at the same uniform as Ramsgate and will look at the body suit and/or top and skirt. Each uniform is around the $100.00 mark and we would like to subsidise round half that cost if not more. We ask for your support with this fundraising quest.
Kerrie and I are also looking at doing the BBQ on the 19 July as this is a great fundraiser. Last weeks club made 1300.00 clear with the BBQ and raffles. We are looking for a few parents that can also give us a hand on this day.
